 The Sunday Line Up 6/12/05 |
Another hot and glorious Sunday! The line up (l-
r) today was Gurf Morlix- pedal steel/ bari
guitar/ vocals, Malcolm "Papa Mali" Welbourne -
guitar/ vocals, Sarah Brown- bass/ vocals,
Shelley King- vocals/ tambourine, Paul "Buddha"
Mills- drums/ vocals, Carolyn Wonderland- guitar/
vocals, and "Scrappy" Jud Newcomb- guitar/
vocals. This was Papa Mali's big send off show
before he goes on summer tour to spread his music
like thick jam across this nation of ours! Thanks
again to all y'all dancers, listeners, clappers,
testifiers, lovers, those in the "Hallelujah"
chorus, the South Austin Gospel Project!!, and
everyone at Maria's! See you next Sunday...(and
Saturday the 18th in Gruene Hall 1-5pm!)

What a HOT one today was! The line up June 6,
2005 (l-r) was Gurf Morlix - pedal steel/bari
guitar/vocals, Charlie Prichard - guitar, Sarah
Brown - bass/vocals, Shelley King -
tambourine/vocals, Malcolm "Papa Mali" Welbourne -
guitar/vocals, Carolyn Wonderland -
guitar/vocals, Nick Connolly - keys, vocals,
Paul "Buddha" Mills - drums/vocals. Thanks to the
amazing LZ Love for a glorious opening set!
Thanks to Maria and everyone at Taco X-Press for
allowing us the venue and Thanks to you, our
friends in the community/congregation!!

Sunday's line up (l-r) included the glorious
return of Malcolm "Papa Mali" Welbourne on guitar
and vocals, Charlie Prichard on guitar, Sarah
Brown on bass and vocals, Shelley King on
tambourine and vocals, Carolyn Wonderland on
guitar and vocals, Paul "Buddha" Mills on drums
and vocals, and Nick Connoly on keys and vocals!
Oh happy day! I do believe we have Papa Mali for
one more week, so...See you next Sunday! The
early show next week is LZ Love at 10:45 AM

The big band was in the house today (May 22) from
l-r the Harmonizers were Gurf Morlix on pedal
steel, bari guitar and vocals, Charlie Prichard
on guitar, Sarah Brown on bass and vocals,
Shelley King on vocals, Paul "Buddha" Mills on
drums and vocals, Carolyn Wonderland on guitar
and vocals, and Nick Connoly on keys and vocals.
First Time Played-Gurf lead vocals= Soul Of A Man-
Blind Willie Johnson
